Falling into Fall

It’s been 3 months since my last seasonal update post, so time again to post some highlights of what I’ve been up to. No big trips in the autumn this year. Just stayed local in the PNW, finished up the hiking season, and then had to sit out and recover from a surgery. Anyways, here are the photos and videos.

My only fall foliage hike of the season is to Eightmile Lake near Leavenworth. Not a lot of foliage near the actual lake which is still recovering from wildfires from years ago.
Some colorful foliage on the Eightmile Lake hike. No larch hike this year though as the weather didn’t work out.
More harvests from my parents’ backyard garden. Some big yellow beefsteak tomatoes.
Back at Ptarmigan Ridge. Made it closer to Mount Baker than 2 years ago.
Indoor light-up mini-golf. I made some nice putts on some holes, but lost lots of strokes on others.
Back at the Washington State Fair after 6 years. Ate some fair food, saw lots of farm animals and a horse show.
An interesting metal monument at Pilchuck Tree Farm
Going to a local pumpkin farm and corn maze for some autumn fun.
The main scenic lookout at Little Mountain Park in Mount Vernon, overlooking the Skagit Valley.

Halloween fun, carved a pumpkin while in costume. Think I did a pretty good job with my pumpkin

Went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra performance. TSO is hype! Lights, lasers, pyrotechnics, drones and of course that Christmas rock opera to bring in the holiday season.

That’s all for my last 3 months. As I said in the beginning, I had to undergo a surgery. It was a bigger procedure than I had anticipated, and the recovery was tough for the first 3 weeks afterwards. Thankfully I’m feeling more like myself again, and the issue that prompted the surgery should be gone for good. Completely healing will take time.

There is only one more month left in 2025. This year has gone by quickly, and it had its ups and downs. My new job has been going well, but having to get another surgery wasn’t great. Just been having some health issues the last few years, but thankfully they were resolvable and I can fully recover after the surgeries. Hoping for a good year in 2026, for health, wealth, love, and happiness 🙏. As for the upcoming winter, I got some travels planned, and of course will be hitting the slopes as I have already bought my ski season pass. Thanks for reading and visiting my little corner of the internet.
