Long Time, No Post

I realized I haven’t updated this blog for several months. Just posting to show that I’m still alive and kicking. It’s not that I have been working so hard that I didn’t have time to post, but I just haven’t done anything that I thought was worth posting on its own. This doesn’t mean I haven’t been doing anything. I try be out and about on the weekends, especially now that the warmer and nicer weather of spring is upon us here in North Carolina. I visited a lot of the local parks, and I’ve tried a number of restaurants. I don’t know if I can be classified as a foodie since I don’t think my taste buds are very discerning, but I like trying new restaurants and I love delicious food. I haven’t really traveled outside of the area I live… at least not for fun. I had business trips, but I can’t really do touristy stuff when I am on the clock.

Below are some photos of some of the fun stuff I’ve done over the last couple of months.

Brewery tour
Went to a tour of a local brewery. It helps there were $1 beers to be had.

Bryan Adams concert
Went to a Bryan Adams concert in downtown Raleigh. I really enjoyed the show. This was the first time I went to a concert by a famous artist.
Historic Yates Mill County Park
Hiking in a nearby park, which had a historic mill.
Jordan Lake New Hope Overlook
Hiking near the shores of Jordan Lake, one of the biggest lakes around the Triangle region.
weekend kayaking
Did some kayaking at Lake Wheeler. Got some exercise and enjoyed the great weather.
NC Auto Expo
Attended the NC Auto Expo at the State Fairgrounds. Not a very big auto show, but it was enjoyable.
New Guitar
Got a guitar and some extra equipment from a friend. Big thanks to Mr. G.F. for the guitar. Now let see if I can learn to play this thing and become a rock star.

One last random thing to mention is that I bought a new cordless shaver. I had a Remington MS2-370 foil shaver for a long time. The thing was loud and the battery is dead, so I have to keep it plugged in when I shave. Even with those issues, I kept the shaver and even replaced the foil and blades once. When the foils were damaged during my last business trip, I decided it was time to get a new shaver. After looking around online, I decided to buy the Phillips Norelco 3100 shaver, which is the best selling rotary shaver on Amazon. I used it for a few weeks, and I like it a lot. The biggest benefit is of course the battery works, and the new shaver is a whole lot quieter than my old foil shaver. A rotary shaver is also a better fit for me given I only shave 3 times a week. I’m pretty happy with my purchase so far. Hopefully the battery will last a long time. That’s it for my random “product review”.
