The Fall 2010 anime season is coming to an end, and that means it’s time to write some final thoughts posts on series that I watched and didn’t blog. This post is for Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, a girl-on-girl fighting/fan-service series that started off with some promise but just kept going downhill.
My last “final thoughts” post for the Summer 2010 season. Seikimatsu Occult Academy is a show that ended 2-3 weeks ago, but I didn’t get around to writing this post until today. It’s not like I have much to add to everyone else has said, but might as well write something on a day that I don’t have anything else to post about.

Macross Frontier is one of the series I followed when I started writing on this blog two years ago, and it was one of the best series I’ve watched at least when mecha battles and music were concerned. So it’s no surprise that I was waiting to watch the theatrical version of the series, and I finally saw The False Songstress around a week ago. Despite liking the anime series so much, I find myself having little to say about the movie other than that “it was pretty good”.
I watched Summer Wars a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t get around to writing about it due to me being lazy and busy at the same time. Summer Wars is of course the Mamoru Hosoda anime film about a math whiz and his upperclassman’s entire extended family trying to stop an errant program from crashing both a popular virtual world and the real world. Even though I’ve put this post under the “Reviews” category, this post is just some random thoughts I feel like writing down after watching the movie. Writing a well-versed and structured review just feel like too tall of a task for me these days lol.
Now that the Summer 2010 anime season is more or less over, it’s time again for my final impressions/”review” posts for shows that I followed but didn’t blog about. First up is the second season of Sengoku Basara, which turned out to be a downgrade compared to the first season.
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a manga “review” on this site.. This post is for Neon Genesis Evangelion – Gakuen Datenroku, which is one of the many NGE-based manga series. I’m not too sure why I picked up this series since I’m not that big of a NGE fan. I blogged about this series from late 2008 to early 2009, but stopped because I couldn’t find any new chapters for several months. The manga ended serialization in December 2009. I finally read the last chapter a month or two ago and it looked like the manga got canned and ended prematurely. Still, I thought I’d put a conclusion to my own coverage of the series with a final thoughts post, so here goes:
This post is my final thoughts on Bakemonogatari, the longest 15 episode anime I’ve ever watched. It’s been so long between episodes that I don’t remember a lot of the details anymore, so I don’t really have to much to say. Below are the thoughts I managed to put together.
Here’s another long overdue final thoughts post, and this time it’s for Tatakau Shisho – The Book of Bantorra, a 27-episode anime based on a series of light novels and animated by David Production. I picked up the series on a whim because I thought the promotional art was nice. Luckily, Bantorra turned out to be surprisingly good and is one of the better series I’ve watched recently. To keep things short and to the point, I’m going to use point form for this post. As with most my final thoughts posts, this post contains major spoilers to the series.
It’s been a few weeks since the end of the winter 2010 anime season, and I’m finally getting around to writing some final impressions posts on the series that I watched but didn’t blog. Blame the lateness on my laziness and my finals. As a “Final Thoughts” post, this post just contains some loosely organized (or unorganized thoughts) I had for the show, so don’t expect to see a well-structured review. Anyways, this post is about Dance in the Vampire Bund, a Shaft production that didn’t turn out to be what I expected.
I finally saw Avatar. Actually, I saw Avatar about four weeks ago, but didn’t get around to writing about it until today. I actually wanted to see it in January, but I wanted to see it in IMAX 3D and the theaters were packed back then. As almost all of you probably know, Avatar is James Cameron’s latest mega-budget blockbuster that is now the highest grossing film of all time. This post is just a collection of my thoughts on the film, so it’s not really a movie review per se, but I’ll put it in my review category for organization’s sake.
